Early Intervention Services · Australia
Bright Beginnings provides practical, family-centred early intervention for young children and families who need extra support with development, communication, learning and everyday life.
New National Program
Bright Beginnings is preparing to support families under the Australian Government's new Thriving Kids program — a national initiative providing earlier, easier access to support for children with developmental delay and/or autism.
A new national system of supports for children aged 8 and under with developmental delay and/or autism with low to moderate support needs. It aims to give families practical guidance and access to evidence-based supports earlier in their child's developmental journey.
How we help
We help identify developmental strengths and areas where a child may need extra support — including communication, learning, play, independence, social participation, emotional regulation and behaviour.
We work alongside parents and carers to provide practical strategies that can be used in everyday routines — at home, childcare, kindergarten, school and in the community.
We support families to understand why behaviours may be occurring and develop positive, practical strategies that help children communicate, participate and build new skills.
Where appropriate, support is delivered in the places children spend their time — including the home, early learning settings, school transition environments and the community.
Why it matters
"When children receive the right support early, they have more opportunities to build the skills that shape their whole lives."
Early support can make a meaningful difference in a child's development. Bright Beginnings focuses on helping families turn everyday moments into opportunities for learning, connection and growth — building communication, social, emotional, behavioural and daily living skills before challenges become more significant.
Early intervention also helps families understand their child's needs and feel more confident using practical strategies in everyday life.
